The past two weeks have been great! Fresh, organically grown food delivered straight to my door - oh yeah! My sister-in-law along with her husband and three kids own a farm. (You can check their website here) This year they began to provide CSA shares to their customers. I've never heard of it before, but it's really cool. I signed on for a 1/2 share for 10 weeks. Every Friday I get a new variety of veggies, farm eggs, and an herb, which is all delivered straight to my door. It's great because I know I'm getting good produce and it's all from Non-GM seeds and chemical free.
I made this wonderful salad with all my goodies: summer squash, kale, dill, lettuce mix, walla walla onions (I used an entire onion, green top and all), chili peppers, and cucumbers. For dressing, I used 1 TBSP olive oil drizzled on top and 1 TBSP balsamic vinegar.
